Spending time with overly opinionated people can be such an annoyance. Now try dating one. It’s not the stubborn nature of religiously clinging to said opinions that can cause dealbreakers. It’s not the fact that her opinions may be the exact opposite of your own on certain topics. No, some opinions are just incredibly ignorant, dare we say, even stupid. Now, someone probably once told you that an opinion can’t be wrong, but it damn sure can be uneducated. If she has any of these four extreme opinions, consider it an immediate dealbreaker. Negative approach to classism.
There’s nothing wrong with dating a well-to-do chick. But, dating a disillusioned well-to-do chick is a no-no. If she has a negative opinion of people “beneath” her wealth status, drop her quick. Even if you guys are running neck-in-neck in the finance department, you don’t want a chick that has a negative view on poor folks. Why? Well, first of all she’s not living in the real world. More importantly, however, this chick wont stand by you if things get hard. The economy isn’t its most firm at the moment. People that were raking in six figures are now serving coffee at local shops. If you get hit by a financial bomb, you want a woman that’ll support you, not some spoiled little rich girl that’ll run back to daddy because you can’t buy her a luxury car this year.
She doesn’t like your life plans.
If you just started dating a girl, and she has issues with what goals you’ve set in life, then you don’t need her around. No one has the right to tell you what to do with your life. Period. If Miss Know-it-all thinks you’d be a better dentist and you’re set on being a fireman, tell her bye bye. There are six billion people on the planet. You can always meet another girl. But, you can’t make up the lost time you spent patching up cavities when you should’ve been putting out fires.
She thinks you should drop all your friends.
Please, this is a no-brainer. You’ve been dating Little Miss Perfect for all of three days and she has the audacity to criticize your friends. If you keep her around, you’re an idiot. And that’s not just an extreme opinion. She probably views you as a fixer-upper. Do you know what that means? It means she thinks she can mold you to be the perfect boyfriend for her. That is to say, you’re not quite good enough already. We could give you a list of four letter words that can be spewed in the direction of a girl like that, but this is a family-friendly site. Don’t waste your time with the host of “Extreme Makeover: Your Life Edition.”
Racist, sexist or any “ists” opinions of any kind.
Even if the stereotypes she holds on to give you a social advantage in her eyes, you don’t need to be bothered with that garbage. Believe it or not, there are people out there that will date you only because of the color of your skin. Like you’re an item that can be chosen in a local convenience store. Discrimination is discrimination, regardless if it’s because you’re black, white, straight or gay. People like that are ignorant and shouldn’t be allowed to date. Oh, and if you hear her make generalizations about other people, it’s just as bad. It’s more than ten years in to the new millennium and there’s still stupidity like this on the streets. Don’t bother with it.
